Description
1-Monopalmitin (Glyceryl palmitate) is a small molecule compound extracted from Mougeotia nummuloides and Spirulina major with potential antitumor activity, inhibiting proliferation of A549 and SPC-A1 cells, and inducing G2/M blockade and cysteinyl asparaginase-dependent apoptosis.
In vitro
1-Monopalmitin significantly inhibited A549 and SPC-A1 cell proliferation, induced G2/M arrest and caspase-dependent apoptosis[1].
