Description
3-Fucosyllactose is one of the major human milk oligosaccharides, exhibiting prebiotic, immunomodulatory, neurodevelopment-promoting in neonates, and antibacterial activities.
In vitro
Methods: Human epithelial cell lines Caco-2 and A549 were treated with 3-Fucosyllactose at 10 mg/mL to detect its effect on the adhesion of intestinal and respiratory pathogens.
Results: 3-Fucosyllactose (10 mg/mL) could inhibit the adhesion of intestinal and respiratory pathogens to human epithelial cell lines Caco-2 and A549 [2].
