Target Background

Adiponectin is a 244-amino acid protein secreted mainly by adipose tissue, but expression is also seen in osteoblasts, liver parenchyma cells, myocytes, epithelial cells, and placental tissue. The biological actions of adiponectin are directed through the receptors AdipoR1, AdipoR2 and T-cadherin. Serum levels of adiponectin decrease with obesity and are positively linked with insulin sensitivity. Low levels of this anti-inflammatory adipokine can produce a chronic state of low-grade inflammation which can lead to insulin resistance, diabetes, hypertension, and atherosclerosis.

Customize This Human Adiponectin ELISA

We manufacture our ELISAs in-house, so we can build a custom version for your study.

  • Post-translational modifications (PTMs): Detect modified Adiponectin (ACRP30 / ADIPOQ), including phosphorylation, acetylation, S-nitrosylation, S-acylation, oxidation, lactylation, sumoylation, ubiquitination, nitration, carbamylation, and more
  • Sample types: Validation in your matrix using samples you provide, such as CSF, urine, saliva, lysates, or exosomes
  • Also available: More sensitive platforms such as Simoa® and NexaTag®, multiplex panels, bulk lots, and other species when suitable reagents exist

Feasibility varies by target and modification, and we’ll tell you upfront what’s achievable.
