-20°CRat IgG antibodies are classified to four subclasses mainly based on the isotype of the heavy chain (IgG1, IgG2a, IgG2b, and IgG2c for the heavy chain; kappa and lamda for the light chain), of which IgG1 and kappa are the most abundantnamed in serum. IgG antibodies are large molecules of about 150kD composed of four peptide chains, two identical heavy chains of about 50kD and two identical light chains of about 25kD. The four peptides are arranged in a Y-shape tetramer by disulfide bonds formed between the two heavy chains and between a heavy chain and a light chain.
Applications:
Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, Flow Cytometry, Immunoprecipitation, Immunohistochemistry and in vivo animal model research. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:
Immunohistochemistry: frozen/paraffin
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
