Description

MacConkey Agar (MAC) can be used for selective isolation and culture of intestinal pathogens. The composition of 1 liter of MacConkey Agar (MAC) is: 20.0g peptone, 10.0 g lactose, 1.5 g Bile salt number three, 5.0 g sodium chloride, 0.03g Neutral red, 0.001 g Crystal viol and 15.0 g agar[1].
