RIPA lysis buffer is used to lyse cultured cells for immunoprecipitation and immunoblots. Similar in function to single detergent buffers that include NP-40, sodium chloride and Tris, RIPA is a good first choice for new antigens.

7.5 ± 0.5

Components:
150mM NaCl
1.0% NP-40
0.5% deoxycholate (deoxycholic acid, sodium)
0.1% SDS
50mM Tris-Cl
Molecular Biology Grade water
0.2um sterile-filtered

Recommended Dilution:
Immediately prior to use, add the protease and phosphatase inhibitors for the following final concentrations: 1mM PMSF, 1mM sodium orthovanadate, 1mM sodium fluoride, 1ug/ml aprotinin, 1ug/ml leupeptin, 1ug/ml pepstatin

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4°C. Do not freeze. Stable for at 6 months after receipt. Store in the dark.
