SOD Activity Assay Kit
Easy and fast quantitative determination of SOD enzyme activity.
The SOD Activity Assay Kit provides a fast and reliable method for the quantitative determination of Superoxide Dismutase (SOD) enzyme activity.
In this assay, superoxide ions are generated from the xanthine–xanthine oxidase system. These superoxide ions convert the tetrazolium salt WST-1 into a colored formazan product, measured at 450 nm. Addition of SOD reduces superoxide levels, decreasing formazan formation. SOD activity is calculated as the percent inhibition of WST-1 formazan generation.
With a streamlined protocol, ready-to-use reagents, and high reproducibility, this kit is ideal for oxidative stress research, antioxidant screening, and enzymatic activity assays.
