TransSafe^TM Mycoplasma Elimination Reagent (TransMyco-1+2) contains two different and effective anti-mycoplasma components.  TransMyco-1 is a macrolide antibiotic, and TransMyco-2 is a tetracycline derivative. Both antibiotics effectively interfere with mycoplasma protein synthesis to eliminate mycoplasma species from contaminated cell cultures. The sequential joint use of these two  reagents allows to eliminate the contamination by mycoplasma fwith minimal cytotoxicity to the cell culture.
