Tnf also known as Tumor necrosis factor. The Protein acts as a cytokine binds TNF receptors plays a role in regulation of cell proliferation, induction of apoptosis, and inflammatory response. Recombinant rat Tnf, fused to His-Tag at N-terminal, expressed in E. coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.

Biological Activity:
Measured in a cytotoxicity assay using L929 mouse fibrosarcoma cells in the presence of the metabolic inhibitor actinomycin D. The ED50 for this effect is less or equal to 0.2ng/ml.

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
