-20°CCD79a, also known as mb-1, is a 45kD protein that is expressed by B lymphocytes during differentiation from early pre-B cell stage through to plasma cells. The CD79a molecule associates with CD79b (B29) to form a heterodimer that is non-covalently linked to surface immunoglobulin, forming the B-cell receptor (BCR) complex. The CD79a/CD79b heterodimers are also necessary for intracellular signalling following antigen-binding to surface immunoglobulin.
Applications:
Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions:
Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin): Requires antigen retrieval using heat treatment prior to staining of paraffin sections. Membrane permeabilization is required.
Immunohistochemistry: Frozen sections
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Hybridoma:
Sp2/0 myeloma cells with spleen cells from BALB/c mice.
Positive control:
Human tonsil
Storage and Stability:
Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Note: Sodium azide is a potent inhibitor of peroxidase and should not be added to HRP conjugates.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
