(S)-ar-Curcumene ((+)-alpha-Curcumene), found in oil from Zingiber officinalis, is a natural product. (S)-ar-Curcumene has weak repellent activity against B. tabaci. (S)-ar-Curcumene can be used for research of insect repellent^[1].

(S)-ar-Curcumene (10 μg) exhibits weak repellent activity against B. tabaci^[1].
(S)-ar-Curcumene is not active as semiochemicals to B. tabaci adults^[1].
