Description

Ghrelin is the ligand for growth hormone secretagogue receptor type 1 (GHSR). Ghrelin induces the release of growth hormone from the pituitary gland. Ghrelin-28 is modified with an O-octanoylation group on the N-terminal end essential for activity.
