MHC Class II molecules are constitutively expressed on antigen presenting cells such as dendritic cells, B lymphocytes, monocytes, macrophages, activated T lymphocytes and may be induced on a range of other cell types by interferon gamma. The major histocompatibility complex (MHC) is a cluster of genes some of which are important in the immune response to infections. In cattle, this complex is referred to as the bovine leukocyte antigen (BoLA) region. There are 2 major types of MHC class IIa molecules encoded by the BoLA which are DR and DQ each composed of an alpha and beta chain.

Applications:
Suitable for use in FLISA. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilution:
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Hybridoma:
NS1 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice.

Storage and Stability:
Store product at 4°C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: APC conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.

Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
