Description

PEG 4000 is a polymer of Polyethylene glycol. It is used for the precipitation of proteins, viruses, DNA, and RNA. It is a stabilizer used in many commercially available vaccines and slows the release of protein medications into the bloodstream. PEG has been used to synthesize hydrogels useful in regenerative medicine.

PEG-Lithium Acetate Solution is a popular option for DNA isolation.
