Optimum Growth® Bidirectional Transfer Caps (patented) with downstem utilize a peristaltic pump for simple aseptic transfer of media or cells into and/or out of cell bags, bioreactors, and flasks. Specific bidirectional transfer caps are designed for use with Thomson Optimum Growth® 1.6 L, 2.8 L, 5 L, and selected 7 L flasks together with your peristaltic pump. Simply replace the standard vented flask cap with the appropriate transfer cap and connect to your vessel of choice.

How to Transfer or Feed

• In the hood, replace the flask vent cap with the correctly sized bidirectional transfer cap.
• Connect to the receiving vessel using tube fusing or an available male Luer lock option.
• Place the tubing into the peristaltic pump head.
• Pump liquid into or out of the flask as required.

Male Luer Lock Connection

Allows tubing to be aseptically fused, creating a closed transfer pathway suitable for sterile media addition, inoculation, feeding, or scale-up applications.
